Notes on misleading and sensational writings of others than Pyramidologists or Egyptologists regarding the Great Pyramid.

Some books have been published on the pyramids and also specifically on the Great Pyramid by writers other than Pyramidologists or Egyptologists. Apart from theories altogether, most of such authors have not even got their "facts" right. This applies specially to Mystics and also to popular writers of that type that, in order to make their books sell, are out for something attractive and sensational and are not at all particular about the truth, and indeed even go to the length of inventing "dirt" about Pyramidologists whose teachings they dishonorably misrepresent. Mystic writers however, do not stoop to such despicable tactics. Mystic authors nevertheless are very careless about the facts. It is very widely circulated in Mystic books that there is a secret underground passage from the Sphinx to a secret room below the Pyramid, from which from access can be gained to the Pyramid's known passage and chambers other than by the entrance on the north face of the building. Drawings of this supposed secret passage have been widely propagated in Mystic literature and eminent modern Mystics claim to have walked through it into the secret room below the Pyramid and so into the Pyramid itself.

Notwithstanding these claims, there is no such passage. The supposed passage has been proved to be non-existent by extensive investigations of Egyptian, French, and Swiss Egyptologists. In the spring of 1939 the eminent French Egyptologist, Professor J. Ph. Lauer, of Paris surveyed and excavated the very spot in front of the Sphinx where the entrance to the "secret" passage is supposed to be and he saw nothing of the kind there. Previous to that, the site of the Sphinx and its temple had been very completely excavated by the Egyptian Professor Selim Hassan and by Dr. Herbert Ricke Dirctor of the Swiss Institute of Architectural Research at Cairo. Full particulars of these investigations and excavations of the whole of the Sphinx complex are given in Dr. Ricke's published volume Der Harmachistemple das Chefren in Giseh.

There are two widely read works which, while not dealing specifically with the Pyramid, nevertheless devote certain space to it. As these are widely circulated, it is appropriate that mention be made of them here, because of their unusual statements about the Great Pyramid that perplex many of the public and require explanation. Both authors are Englishmen. One book is "A Search in Secret Egypt" by Dr. Paul Brunton and the other "Through Lands of the Bible" by Henry Canova Vollam Morton. The former was published in 1935, and the latter in 1938, both in London.

Paul Brunton in his "A Search in Secret Egypt" devotes Chapters III and IV to the Great Pyramid. His Chapter III contains a few excellent point in support of the view that this particular Pyramid was not a tomb, but his Chapter IV is tragic. Paul Brunton rejects Pyramidology, partly because, like many other people, has has been influenced by the prejudice and hostile babblings of Sir Flinders Petrie against Pyramidology and partly because of mistakes of pioneers, as if that proved anything. Do not pioneers in all sciences make mistakes? It is rather surprising that Dr. Brunton swallows the silly story invented by Petrie that a follower of Smyth tried to file down the Boss on the Granite Leaf in the Ante-Chamber to the size required for the theory. In the first place, it was quite unnecessary to do any filing down to make it fit the theory. In the second place, no sane person would be so stupid as to base a theory on a dimension that had been altered. In the third place, the present author has carefully examined the Boss and also had it photographed, but it shows no signs whatsoever of any filing in recent times.

Nevertheless Paul Brunton is to commended for the strong case he puts up to show that the Great Pyramid was not actually used as a tomb. He produces five powerful points to prove his case in the following forceful language:

(1) "Perhaps the point which is regarded as most conclusive evidence that here was the tomb of a pagan monarch, is the empty, coverless, red granite box which lies on the floor of the King's Chamber. This obviously, was the sarcophagus of the king, says your Egyptologist; who thereafter regards the matter as settled. But why do not the sides of this sarcophagus carry the usual conventional texts and religious representations? Why do they not bear a single word or a single hieroglyphic inscription of any kind? All other sarcophagi usually carry some written or pictured memorial of their use; why not this one, if it was dedicated to one of Egypt's most celebrated kings?

(2) "Why were air-channels, more than two hundred feet long, built to connect the burial vault which held this supposed sarcophagus with the outer air? Mummies do not need fresh air, while the workmen had no need to re-enter the chamber once they had roofed it in. I have seen no other chamber anywhere in Egypt, constructed to serve as sepulcher of the royal dead, which possessed air channels.

(3) "Why was this presumed coffin placed in a room which is one hundred and fifty feet above the ground level, when all other Egyptian practice was to cut down into the rock below ground level for a burial vault? In fact, it was and is, a world-wide custom to dispose of the dead either under or on the ground. 'Dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return', has ever been nature's message to man.

(4) "Why should that lofty hall, the Grand Gallery, have been built to give access to the King's Chamber, and built nearly thirty feet high, when a continuation of the Ascending Passage, which is a mere four feet in height, would have served the purpose equally well and entailed much less labor through being far less complicated in construction than the Grand Gallery itself?

(5) "Why was a second room, the so-called Queen's Chamber, built near the first one? Pharaohs were never laid to rest near their Queens, while a single mummy does not need two vaults. Had the Queen's Chamber contained the conventional wall paintings and inscriptions of Egyptian tombs, its existence as an ante-room might have been justified, but it is bare and as unornamented as the King's Chamber. And why too, should the former have also been fitted with air-shafts, sealed though their mouths were when discovered? Why should the builders have troubled to ventilate these two so-called tombs? It is a point worth repeating to oneself: the dead do not breathe."

The Dawning of Light

Travel to the Giza plateau became a dangerous undertaking in the eighteenth century. Though Egypt was still nominally under the suzerainty of the Ottoman Turks, the traveler was likely to be robbed or killed by gangs of bandit or Arabs.

Not until the time of the American Revolution was any further discover of importance made at the Pyramid. In 1765, Nathaniel Davison was able to spend a vacation in Egypt in the coison as incredulous why anyone would go to the trouble of digging a shaft over two hundred feet to no where. The shaft was dug deep into solid granite with no apparent purpose.

Abandoning this quest, Davison set about finding any other secret features within the interior of the Pyramid. This lead him to the discover of what is now know as Davison's Chamber.

Extraordinary Beings

The many many unsolved mysteries impossible fetes, and mystical tales are all part of the mystique surrounding the structure, yet there stands the most remarkable piece of masonry in history. The incredible design features alone suggests an intelligence far beyond what one would assume normal for that day.

But in spite of the numerous anomalies the pure facts that confront the traditional view are nevertheless ignored and past over as though they are abstract subjective notions from lunatics. Yet why is it? People like Eratosthenes was not the first to measure the earth why was Cheops given the honor as the builder.

Whoever built the structure knew the dimensions of this planet as they were not to be know again till the seventeenth century of our era. They could measure the day, the year, and the Year of the Precession. They knew how to compute latitude and longitude and the transit of the stars. He or they knew how to map the earth into degrees of latitude and longitude from different locations on the earth. Without airplanes or satellites, maps could be made with minimum distortions. They knew the diameter of the earth wherein the were able to calculate and establish the universal measurement of the inch.

Mathematics so advanced, they were not invented or re-discovered till millenia later: Pi, the Fibonacci series, and the golden ratio. We have just scratched the surface of what this past civilization knew, and the more we find a much longer history of man than before was credited.

The Stars and the Pyramid

Ancient astrology handed down to the present day in many ways seems illogical, but there are those in the modern filed of science who are beginning to rethink their bias and now seem to be leaning toward a belief based upon concrete facts.

It was viewed in the eyes of the ancient Egyptians, according to Proctor, that the people of that day viewed their king as the representative of all the people, and hence as a mediator between them and the gods.

The people of that day, because of their superstitious inclinations, believed that what was good for the king was good for all the people. And as Proctor notes, they mad no move in either domestic or foreign policy unless the astrologer priest recommended the decision by discerning the movement of the stars.

Michel Gauquelin describes in his book "The Scientific Basis for Astrology", some of the effects of the motions of the sun and moon upon terrestrial phenomena. Apart from such obvious effects as the seasons, the growth of vegetation and the tides, he deals with the less apparent but equally powerful effects of the eleven-year cycle of sunspots on our flora, fauna, and inhabitants.

As sunspots occur on the face of the sun from time to time they develop, and then disappear. Accordingly, as they do, the sun spews up enormous clouds of gas, of incandescent light which then whips up whirlwinds, magnetic in nature.

The sun rotates on it's axis every twenty-seven days and as it does it aims these eruptions directly at the earth. This bombardment of waves and particles results in an amplified frequency of what is normal. Gauquelin, states it is like we terrestrials are living in the sun.

It has been measured that sunspot activity can affect the level of water in the lakes, the concentric rings taken by the Hudson bay Company, icebergs in the North Atlantic. It is most likely that the enormous fears of global warming based on the release of great quantities of carbon is actually caused by sun spots.

Secret Freemasonry and the Pyramid

The explosion of Egyptology entered an accelerated stage at the end of the 18th century, and continued on for some years. But coincidental with the rise of the studies of the pyramid was the emergence of Freemasonry as a political and cultural force

The precise origin of Freemasonry and its entrance and import into the world, although highly shrouded by cranks and obsessives, was influential and played an extremely significant role in affecting not only the political world, but also the scientific, and caused remarkable changes in the cultural world as well.

Most of the major figures of the Enlightenment were either masons or influenced by Freemasonry; and the masons were all Egyptophiles, in some cases claiming that they drew their traditions from secret Egyptian texts, in other cases actually asserting an unbroken lineage back to Egyptian priesthoods.

The former Egyptian temples were re-established as Masonic lodges and decorated with Egyptian symbols, including the hieroglyphs; Also included were the other phenomena such as the pyramid and the "all seeing eye" of Horus on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States and dollar bill.

Although it remains uncertain whether Napoleon himself was a mason, it is a matter of record rather than conspiratorial theory that he was involved in certain Masonic affairs, that some of his imperial emblems were Masonic-Egyptian, and that Freemasonry flourished under his rule.

Napoleon determined that the time was ripe to launch the theory of Egyptophila on an unprecedented scale. He made his plans and set sail from the south of France to invade the ancient land of Egypt. This date became one of the most important in the history of the structure.

The Sacred Cubit and the Pyramid

The measurements for the construction of the structure were based upon two entirely different types of cubits. It was Sir Isaac Newton who first discovered the differences. Both the sacred cubit and the profane cubit were derived from measurements taken from the Kings chamber by Greaves an several others.

When 20.63 British inches produced a room an even length of cubits:20x10, this measurement computed and established the profane cubit. The sacred cubit, Newton computed, came from Josephus description of the circumference of the pillars of the Jerusalem temple.

The sacred cubit is designated in the form of a horseshoe projection, known as the "Boss" on the face of the Granite Leaf in the Ante-Chamber of the Pyramid. By application of this unit of measurement it was discovered to be subdivided into 25 equal parts known now as: Pyramid inches.

Newton believed that through additional studies and measurements of the structure and other buildings of the Hebrew pre-monarchy period that further refinements of the cubit, set at 24.80-25.02 British inches, could be ascertained

The Profane cubit was determined by gathering dimensions of the Pyramid and from cubits taken of several nations gathered by both Graves and Newton and was reported in a report called " A dissertation upon the Sacred Cubit of the Jews.

Unfortunately, Newton's calculations were based on inaccurate measurements by Greaves on the base of the Pyramid. Do to insufficient clearance of the debris around the Pyramid's base, Greaves figures were slightly in error.

The Great Pyramid, the Mathematician, a Professor, and Engineer

John Taylor, an amateur astronomer, London publisher and mathematician began a study in order to analyze the measurements of the structure. He wanted to understand the 7th wonder from a mathematician's point of view.

From his findings he deduced that it was not possible that khufu's pyramid was built by the Egyptians. He tried to find a correlation between the inner chambers and corridors of the giant structure, and believed that one day there would be discovered a relationship that would connect those measurements with history and Biblical prophecy.

Then came Scottish Astronomy professor Piazzi Smyth, to lift the investigation and study of the Pyramid into the realm of applied science. Smyth had studied Taylor's findings and decided that the only way to confirm or refute Taylor's theories would be to go to Egypt and measure.

The results of his work was published and highly regarded. Smyth summed up his investigation: "the structure revealed a most surprisingly accurate knowledge of high astronomical and geographical physics..."

Smyth research began to snow ball into a belief that the Pyramid was more than just an ancient tomb of the pharaoh Khufu. He believed that the astounding mathematics and measurements that were ensconced into the structure could not have been integrated into stone by men of that day.

It was then the mechanical engineer Flinders Petrie who set out to measure the structure to either substantiate or refute the work of Smyth and Taylor. His tools of measurement allowed him to measure correctly within 1/1000 of an inch.

In the beginning Petrie actually belittled Smyths basic contentions about the perimeter of the pyramid which incorporated the length of the solar year. Nevertheless it was Petrie who discovered a hallowing of the core masonry. His discovery of this facet actually led to a confirming Smyth's conclusions concerning the astronomical features of the structure.

Pyramid phenomena and Other-World Visitors

Today, the proliferation of knowledge is evident and according to some educators is doubling every two and one half years. According to the prophet Daniel this manifestation was is in accordance (Dan 12:4) with his end time prophecy.

Researchers as a result of the explosion of knowledge have found evidence that the Pyramids may have not been built as a monument to the greatness of the pharaoh, but could have had an entirely different purpose.

The Bible records an almost unlimited number of angelic excursions to the Earth. God's Kingdom is a celestial government. The guardians of the Temple of Heaven and the secret places of the Most High are the cherubim; and the heavenly priests who direct worship toward the Creator are the seraphim.

Is it possible that earthlings have neglected to consider that angels may have had a hand in the construction of the Pyramid, and other great monolithic structures around the world? There are indications in the book of Acts that there would be signs in the sky. Is it possible UFOs are manifestation of angel craft.

Could there be a connection between UFO, angels, and aliens? I quote Dr. Hynek of the U.S Air force, "I cannot presume to describe what UFOs are because I don't know; but I can establish beyond reasonable doubt that they are not misconceptions or hoaxes."

I cannot say without personal experience that UFO's are controlled by benevolent or malevolent angles. I do not know what controls them or what their motivation is. What I do know is the Bible only mentions life-forms as angels who inhabit the heavens and that they were created by God.

Ancient Beginnings

Ten Miles west of the modern city of Cairo at the end of an acacia, tamarind, and eucalyptus avenue stands a rocky plateau. A mile square, it dominates the luxuriant palm groves of the nile Valley from a height of 130 feet. On this man-leveled plateau, stands the structure of Cheops.

Seven New York mid town city blocks would overshadow the thirteen acres where upon sit the three pyramids of Giza. 201 tiered limestone core blocks, milled to a precise 1/50th of on inch, and numbered at two hundred and fifty million rise 480 feet to the unfinished pinnacle.

In terms of solid masonry, the structure contains more stone than all cathedrals, churches, and chapels built in England since the time of Christ; as a feat in masonry it was not to be matched till the construction of the Boulder Dam.

Both the enormity and the astounding precision involved in the design and construction of the Pyramid astonishes modern engineers today. Not only was there the difficulty in assembling into place of the inner core blocks but the Pyramid was coated with a dazzling finish of white limestone casing blocks.

There is no recorded history of what the pyramid looked like after its completion: nor for over two millennium. In addition there are no wall paintings depicting this most prolific activity.

The Great Pyramid and the Advent of Pyramidology

Many have held to the belief, over the centuries, that the purpose of the Pyramid was not as a tomb but that it's real purpose was something. But the real purpose was not discovered until the end of the 1800's.

Some have thought that the structure was not a tomb at all, but others that it was a tomb plus something more.

As far back as Kircher in 1666 it was expressed that the Pyramid had secret mystic significance and as a result mystics would journey to the very Kings chamber to make incantations thinking somehow they could contact the neither world. Star worshippers also made attendance thinking they would gain wisdoms.

In 1693 Carari and de Chazelles both stated their opinion that the Pyramid, in addition to being a tomb, had some astronomical purpose. In 1774 Paul Lucas suggested that the structure was constructed so as to serve as a great sundial marking the exact time of the solstices.

While writers in the 19th century had more science going for them in that they believed that the base measurements of the structure represented the days in a year, their ideas came from an older idea that the form of the pyramid represented the diverging rays of the sun upon the earth.

A great conundrum was created in 1840, when eminent Egyptologist Sir Garder Wilkinson threw doubt on the tomb theory so far as the structure was concerned and further suggested that perhaps the Pyramid wasn't even built by the Egyptians.

The Divine Plan of the Ages ,

The first three chapters in the Book of Genesis reveals the divine plan concerning life and death. It is absolutely necessary to grasps these truths and without this knowledge it is impossible to properly understand the rest of the Bible. But not only does the Bible contain these elementary principles so does the Pyramid

It is the germinal truth contained in 1 Timothy 2:5-6 where it is stated and is the basic doctrine of the Christian religion, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." This is the basis for Christianity itself.

The concept of ransom is best understood when it is established that a ransom is the paying off of a price for something held. In order to understand this world in a Christian context we must see the problem of captivity from the fall of Adam.

While the doctrine of sin is commonly taught from the time of Adam, it is not clearly explained that sin was already present in this Milky Way galaxy even before Adam and Eve. This we can see from Rev 12. as we witness the sin amongst the angels in their cosmic war.

Is there any proof within the Pyramid that substantiates how evil was added to the DNA construction placed into creation? If so then we should also be able to see how this fact correlates to the concept of ransom.
